Muza Official understands that when accessing our Services, the privacy and confidentiality of Personal Information (as defined under the Privacy Act) is important to you. Muza official fully respects your rights to privacy and are committed to protecting the personal and financial details you provide us in line with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to our Services and all individuals who use our Services or whose Personal Information is processed by Muza Official.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our Online Platforms and/or our Services, for them to understand what Personal Information we collect and store, and why we do so, how we receive and/or obtain that information, the rights an individual has with respect to their Personal Information in our possession, and with complying with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act).

Types of personal information collected

Muza Official collects and holds personal information about individuals for the provision of our products and services and purposes connected to those products and services. Consistent with those purposes, Muza Official may collect personal information including, but not limited to, your name, postal address, contact number, gender, clothing size, shopping habits, device information, credit card information, date of birth or email address.

If you provide us with personal information about another person, such as when you are purchasing a gift, you warrant and represent to us that you have the authority to provide that person’s personal information to us and that we may collect that information in accordance with this policy.

Why do we collect personal information?

Muza Official collects your Personal Information so that we can carry out the following actions:
to enable you to use our Online Platforms; to provide our Services; to communicate with you, including about our Services and offers which might interest you; to provide you with relevant, personalised communications; to provide you with information or advice; to process payments by or to you in connection with our Services; to create accounts, tax invoices or receipts; to provide your Personal Information to third parties in order for them to supply the Services to you; to consider and respond to complaints made by you. We may disclose additional purposes for collection of your Personal Information in collection statements at the point of collection.

How personal information is collected?

Muza Official collects and holds the personal information that you provide us through our website, by email, in store or over the phone.  This includes information that you provide to us when you use, register, and make purchases on our website or sign up for our newsletter.  For example, when you send an email to us or submit an enquiry via our website, we may retain this to respond to your enquiry.

When you access our website or app or interact with us via a computer, mobile phone, smart phone, tablet, or other device we may collect personal information. For example, our website may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, platform type, the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave our website, date and time stamp and cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

Disclosure of personal information

Except as set out in this policy, Muza Official does not share, sell, or trade your personal information that we collect with third parties Muza Official is not likely to disclose your personal information to overseas entities.

Access to files containing your personal information is granted to our employees and contractors and is also granted to our third-party service providers such as our website agency, POS provider, data analytics partner, shipping providers and email service provider.  Please note, that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.  All personal information disclosed to us is at your own risk and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any unauthorised access to your personal information.

Please note that your personal information may be disclosed by us, without notice to you, to any party to whom we are required by law to provide your personal information and to any party to whom disclosure is permitted under the Australian Privacy Principles.

Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). 

Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Third Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. 

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. 

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements. 

Security

Muza Official is committed to ensuring your personal information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure, or alteration. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. 

Muza Official may retain your personal information for data analysis purposes. However, if this occurs, any stored personal information will be kept in a form that does not allow you to be identified from that information. Your personal information is held securely, is subject to various security protections and is held only for as long as the information remains relevant to the purpose for which it was collected. 

Cookies

Here is a list of cookies that we use. We’ve listed them here so that you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies or not. 

_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
_shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits
_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.
_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access. 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Muza Official reserves the right to amend this policy from time to time as we see fit. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any changes or amendments by checking this page. If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how your personal information has been handled by us, you may contact us at any time. If you wish to make such a complaint, you should first contact the Privacy Officer in writing. Your complaint will be dealt with in accordance with our complaints procedure and we will provide a response within a reasonable period.
